Born in Belgium and working in venues and studios all over Europe, he moved to Los Angeles, CA where he established a very successful professional career as engineer and producer. Walter\u2019s international professional endeavors as Producer, Recording Engineer, Live Sound Engineer, Sound Designer and in Audio Post Production includes recent new Classical, Latin and Christmas albums by international recording artist Jose Feliciano, surround audio mixes on the Blu-ray release \u2018Live in Tel Aviv, Israel\u2019 and the Classical album \u2018Mozart Castrato Arias\u2019, Mixing\/recording work for Q-Factory Los Angeles, post production work on independent movie releases and sound designs that have been heard internationally in Theatre and Opera houses, including Stephen Schwartz\u2019s new musical \u201cMy Fairy Tale\u201d. He is also Vice- President of Spatial Cognitive Metronome LLC, a company developing a patented method of music instruction with a fully immersive three-dimensional virtual sphere music cognition metronome.<\/p>\n
He received his BFA from the Higher Institute of Theatre and Culture Spreading in Brussels, Europe and MFA equivalency in CA, USA. His academic career includes teaching several audio courses, workshops and lectures at Maine Media Workshops in Rockport, ME, at UCLA, CSU Fresno, PCPA in Santa Maria, CA; University of Kent, UK; Amsterdam School of the Arts, in Europe as well as positions as assistant professor at the University of Arizona in Tucson, AZ; the University of South Carolina, SC and associate professor audio engineering, live sound technology and audio post production at NESCom, Husson University, ME.
\nAt Musician\u2019s Institute Walter teaches courses in the Live Music Event Production and Audio Engineering Degree Programs.<\/p>\n
