Bachelor of Music in Composition<\/a> at MI, where he graduated in 2016. He began his early music knowledge with the classical piano and he eventually combined his love for music with his love of film to compose various projects in contemporary genres.<\/p>\nAs far as composing for visual media, Duy has made music for clients such as Sony, Samsung, PNJ Jewelry, and Lam Gia Khang Fashion. For film, his music has been showcased at quite a few film festivals, including Rwanda Film Festival, The Naples International Film Festival, and the HollyShorts Film Festival, where he scored the entirety of short film, \u201cTyson!\u201d In 2017, he was also the recipient of the \u201cBest Music and Sound\u201d award of The 48-Hour Film Project 2017.<\/p>\n
While at MI, Duy was a recipient of M.I\u2019s Outstanding Student Award and said of his education here, \u201cM.I always tries to bridge the gap between academia and real-world situations, by providing relevant knowledge and having students implemented what we learnt right away. The program has prepared me the skills and personality to help my transition from the classroom to professional industry setting as smooth as possible.\u201d<\/p>\n
Along with his already long list of accomplishments, Duy is a music director and orchestral conductor for MPU School of Music in Saigon, Vietnam. After finishing his studies at MI and working in the field, Duy is now pursuing a Master of Music in Screen Scoring at USC.<\/p>\n
