Born and raised in Vietnam, he began his music knowledge with the classical piano. His work ranges from studio, concert music in contemporary genres, to scoring for visual media. He currently resides in Los Angeles.<\/p>\n
Duy has composed music for clients such as Sony, Samsung, La Roche Posay, Tetra Pak, PNJ Jewelry, and more. Additionally, his music has been showcased in numerous film festivals, including Sundance Film Festival, and HollyShorts Film Festival. He was also the recipient of the Best Music and Sound award of The 48-Hour Film Project 2017. In 2019, Under Darkness, a film in which Duy Tran composed the score, was one of the finalists of Student Academy Award (Oscar) and College Television Award (Emmy).<\/p>\n
In addition, Duy Tran\u2019s work with pianist BEE Uyen Phuong has garnered them an array of awards, including Best Instrumental Producer, Producer of the Year and Recording of the Year at the 2021 Indie Music Channel, and a Hollywood Music in Media award nomination (World music category).<\/p>\n
