Lipow was born and raised in New Rochelle, New York, a large and diverse community just north of New York City. After receiving his Masters of Music in Studio Composition from SUNY Purchase, Lipow spent a decade working as a session and touring guitarist based out of Nashville, Tennessee. Lipow now serves as a faculty member of Musicians Institute in Hollywood, as an instructor for the Bachelor of Music Department of Songwriting and Production.
